Sydney, Australia, 7 July 2015 – ASI Solutions is pleased to announce a new partnership with zSpace Inc. to bring their flagship product zSpace®, an immersive virtual reality learning environment, to Australia.
zSpace® is a virtual reality hardware and software platform that allows users to visualise, create and experience content in ways not possible with a traditional computer environment. The platform fits on a desktop and combines high definition stereopsis, integrated head tracking with full motion parallax and a precision interactive stylus, so learning feels natural and completely immersive to the user. zSpace® allows users to manipulate objects in a virtual world, as well as collaborate in the real world to understand subjects in a more comprehensive, in-depth manner not derived from traditional learning methods.
ASI Solutions will offer the zSpace® Virtual Reality Labs for learning applications including primary, secondary, and senior secondary schools. zSpace provides students with a realistic learning environment and a personalised learning experience that supports the Australian Curriculum. Virtual-holographic images can be “lifted” from the screen and manipulated with the stylus. Unlike other virtual reality solutions that can be isolating, such as head-mounted displays, zSpace encourages interaction and group collaboration. Best of all, zSpace empowers students to “learn by doing” in a virtual environment where it is easy to undo mistakes, make changes, and not worry about material costs or clean up.
“We are pleased to now offer this unique and innovative product which integrates very well with our current product line and corporate mandate,” said Justin Lowe, Director of ASI Solutions. “We see great potential within the education market and are honoured zSpace chose ASI Solutions to offer their exceptional product to Australians.”
“I am thrilled with our partnership between zSpace and ASI,” said Bob Mansfield, an advisor to zSpace in Australia. “Continued investment and innovation in Australian education is critical to ensure the continued prosperity of Australia. A vital part of our investment must be in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), where the zSpace technology really excels.”
“With this partnership, we are excited to open new markets in Australia and promote zSpace as a powerful learning tool,” said Paul Kellenberger, CEO of zSpace, Inc. “Already showing success in US schools, we are confident Real World Virtual Reality in Australia is a natural fit for zSpace and trust that ASI Solutions is the right partner.”
